Required Documents for Car Rental in Morocco

Planning your trip to Morocco? Here are the exact physical documents needed to collect your vehicle curbside outside arrivals.

1. Valid Driving License

  • A national driving license held for at least one full year.
  • European, UK, US, Canadian, and GCC licenses in the Latin alphabet are valid and recognized by Moroccan authorities.
  • If your home license is printed in non-Latin script (such as Cyrillic, Chinese, or Japanese), an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside your original license is required.

2. Passport & Identification

Original physical passport for foreign visitors, or Moroccan National ID (CIN) for Moroccan residents and MRE diaspora. Photos on phones cannot be accepted for police contract validation.

3. Minimum Age Requirements

Minimum driver age is 21 years with at least one year of driving experience. We do not charge "young driver surcharges".
